Wapsi TNT Hopper Legs

Wapsi TNT Hopper Legs are preformed, jointed floating legs for hopper and terrestrial fly patterns. Their shaped construction provides a ready-made rear-leg profile, allowing the tier to concentrate on placing the pair accurately and completing the body around it.

Construction and use

Select one pair for the fly and attach the two legs symmetrically at the sides of the terrestrial body. Secure the bases with firm thread wraps, but keep the joint free so the characteristic leg shape remains visible. Leave the working sections outside the tie-in area. They suit hopper patterns and other land-based flies that call for prepared rear legs with a defined profile. Check the spacing from above before finishing the thread wraps, then complete the remaining body, wing and other pattern details.
