Textreme Phospho Floss
Textreme Phospho Floss is a semi-texturized thread similar to Micro Floss, charged with phospho pigments that react to ultraviolet light, both solar and artificial. It can be used for bodies, ribbings, tags and parachute posts. Its phosphorescent properties are particularly useful in low-light conditions, when following the fly on the water is more difficult. The thread is 130 Den. and comes on a 50 mt spool. The semi-texturized surface allows it to be wrapped as a single body material; for a smooth finish, place each turn closely against the previous one. When the section is complete, secure the thread before trimming it with sharp scissors.
Construction and use
This is a versatile tying material: it can form a standard floss body, create a contrasting ribbing, or provide a visible tag or parachute post. The UV reaction and subsequent phosphorescent properties support fly tracking in limited light, while its primary function remains that of a tying thread for constructing fly components.
