Taimen Egiin Chest Bag – Black is a technical fly fishing chest pack designed to keep your most important flies and accessories exactly where you need them – on your chest and within instant reach. The rigid EVA front panel protects the contents and, when opened, turns into a convenient work tray for changing flies on the water.
Front EVA panel – mobile fly box
The front pocket is made of moulded EVA foam which stiffens the whole chest pack and protects the flies from being crushed. When the zipper is opened, the panel folds down and creates a stable tray. Inside there is a foam insert with longitudinal slits that comfortably holds over 200 flies – from small nymphs to bigger dry patterns for rivers and lakes.
Main compartment for fishing accessories
The second, top-opening compartment acts as a practical organiser for accessories. Inside you will find:
- five smaller mesh pockets on one side – perfect for tippet spools, strike indicators, floatants and other small items,
- one larger pocket on the opposite side – ideal for a fly box, leader wallet or a phone in a protective case.
The contrasting red lining makes it easy to spot small pieces of gear even in low light conditions.
Velcro panel and tool attachment points
On the front of the chest pack there is a wide vertical Velcro panel for attaching fly boxes with a hook-and-loop back, fly patches, floatant holders or other accessories. On the sides you will find additional loops and webbing tabs that allow you to hang clamps, nippers, zingers or tippet spools. This keeps all essential tools in one place, always at hand.
Comfortable carrying system
The Taimen Egiin Chest Bag is equipped with wide, padded shoulder straps made of breathable 3D mesh. The straps join at the back in a stable cross, which keeps the pack in place while wading and walking over rough terrain. Lower adjustment straps allow you to fine-tune the fit to your body.
At the back there is a loop / D-ring for attaching a landing net or magnetic net holder. The set also includes an additional shoulder strap so the pack can be worn as a compact sling bag when needed.
