1. Care after use
Air the jacket after use and allow it to dry completely. Remove minor dirt from the outer fabric gently with a soft cloth. Do not scrub the fabric or leave damp insulation in a sealed bag.
2. Preparing for washing
Empty the pockets, remove attached accessories and secure the fastenings in accordance with the care label. Check the instructions for the whole jacket: the outer fabric, insulation and finish. Do not automatically use methods intended for down or softshell alone.
3. Washing and cleaning products
Choose the washing method and temperature according to the care label. Use a mild product suitable for a jacket with wool insulation. Do not use bleach, solvents or enzymatic detergents unsuitable for wool. Do not wring the jacket or compress the wet insulation heavily.
4. Drying the complete insulation
Dry the jacket loosely spread out and supported on a drying rack, allowing air to circulate. Allow the inside and insulation to dry as well as the outer fabric. Avoid radiators, intense sunlight and hot air. Use a tumble dryer only if the care label permits it, and in accordance with its settings.
5. Outer fabric and water-repellent treatment
If the jacket has a DWR finish, choose its care according to the model and the wool insulation. Renew the water-repellent treatment on clean fabric with a product approved for this construction. Ironing and heat activation require permission in the jacket's instructions.
6. Storage
Store the jacket clean and completely dry, laid loosely or on a suitable hanger. Do not compress the insulation for extended periods or seal a damp jacket in a bag. Provide a cool, dry place away from sources of heat and a heated car.
7. Inspection and repairs
Check the fabric, seams, zips and condition of the insulation. Repair minor damage to the shell fabric before it becomes larger and exposes the filling. Use materials suitable for the shell fabric and the type of filling, or use a professional repair service.
