Rio Powerflex Plus Leader 9 ft
RIO Powerflex Plus Leader 9 FT is a 9-foot tapered trout leader made from a technically modified nylon copolymer. Its formulation provides up to 20% greater tensile strength than regular leaders while retaining suppleness and knot strength. The taper transfers energy progressively from the fly line towards the fly, helping the leader straighten and present a wide range of trout patterns cleanly.
A hand-tied perfection loop at the butt makes loop-to-loop attachment quick when the fly line has a welded or tied loop. Choose the X rating to suit the fly size, presentation and expected fish: lower X ratings have a thicker, stronger tip, while higher ratings provide a finer tip for more delicate work. As the tip is shortened through fly changes, a suitable diameter of tippet material can be added to maintain the leader’s working length and protect its taper.
