FFGene Tungsten Furrow Slotted Beads

FFGene Tungsten Furrow Slotted Beads are profiled tungsten beads with a longitudinal slot. They add weight to nymphs and other flies, while the slot makes it easier to pass the bead over the hook bend, particularly on jig-hook constructions.

Construction and use

Fit the bead through the slot, normally from the bend side, then slide it forward to the eye and position it before tying. This is useful with jig hooks, but check the slot width, the opening around the hook eye and the passage over the bend before use. Choose the variant for the hook and the intended fly profile. Tungsten supplies compact ballast to support a quick descent.
