FFGene Hackle pliers small
FFGene Hackle pliers small are compact hackle pliers intended for tying very small flies. Their narrow, straight jaws hold the tip of a feather stem without placing a bulky tool close to the hook. The pliers make it easier to guide the feather through successive turns and help the tier maintain controlled tension while positioning the hackle.
The metal spring construction connects the jaws to an integrated round finger loop. Squeezing the arms opens the jaws, while releasing them closes the grip around the feather. The head is fixed and does not rotate independently, so the angle of each wrap and any twist in the stem are controlled by hand movement. The small format reduces obstruction around the hook shank when working on compact patterns.
