FFGene Fish Heads

FFGene Fish Heads are shaped heads for pike and saltwater streamers. They form the front of the fly, giving it an orderly, fish-like outline and a defined transition between the head and the wing materials.

Construction and use

Fit the head on the hook before tying in the remaining streamer components. Match its size to the eye and bend of the particular hook as well as the width of the intended profile. Once seated, it provides a front support for the wing, flank and tail materials and helps keep the head symmetrical. Before finishing the fly, check that the hook eye remains clear and that the head is secure; choose the fixing method to suit the construction of the pattern.
