FFGene Bead Chain Eyes

FFGene Beads Chain Eyes are bead-chain eyes prepared for use as lightweight pairs on nymphs, streamers and shrimp patterns. They add a distinct point on both sides of the head without the weight of metal dumbbell eyes.

Construction and use

Cut the chain into pairs, then tie the pair crosswise to the hook shank. Several tight figure-eight wraps stabilise the eyes; the tie-in point can be secured with thread and suitable varnish or resin. Match the eye diameter to the hook and fly profile, and check clearance around the hook eye and bend before tying.
