Dr Slick 8 Ring Pin On Reel
Dr Slick 8 Ring Pin On Reel is a pin-mounted retractor for keeping lightweight fly-fishing accessories readily accessible. It can hold nippers, a hook file or a small container of fly floatant close at hand, then draws the attached item back when released. This saves repeatedly returning a frequently used tool to a pocket while changing flies, trimming leader material or making adjustments to the rig.
The model has a durable steel cord with a 20-inch extension. A heavy-duty pin secures the retractor to a fly vest, fishing pack or tackle bag, while the figure-of-eight ring provides the attachment point for the chosen accessory. The tool can therefore be pulled into a comfortable working position without being detached from the angler’s equipment.
This retractor is intended for light items. Position it where the cord can extend directly without catching on line, clothing or other equipment. After fishing, wipe away moisture and dirt, allow the steel cord to dry and check that both the mounting pin and accessory ring remain secure. Avoid allowing the cord to snap back uncontrolled, particularly when a metal tool is attached.
