Akita AK 741 Fly Hooks (25)

Akita AK 741 (25) is a barbed fly hook with a long, bent shank, intended primarily for stonefly nymph imitations. Its proportions also suit larger nymphs and glajcha-style patterns that need an extended body and additional tying space.

Design and use

The bent shank lets materials follow the curved profile, while the down eye affects the fly’s alignment and the way the head is finished. Choose this model for longer patterns whose abdomen is built along much of the shank. The bronze finish is suited to natural-looking nymph designs and subdued wet-fly details.
