Wapsi Leech Yarn
Wapsi Leech Yarn is a continuous yarn twisted from long angora hair. It builds soft, hairy bodies for flies and streamers, and its mobile surface is suited to leech imitations and other hairy nymph patterns.
Construction and use
Cut the required length and secure the end to the hook shank with several thread wraps. The yarn can be wound as a body, placed in a dubbing loop, or separated into strands for tails and other fly parts. Sweep the fibres against the direction of the next turn so they are not trapped beneath the yarn. Adjust the number and spacing of turns to the desired body profile, then comb the material and trim the silhouette after tying.
