Taimen Chuluut Breathable Waders

Taimen Chuluut are breathable waders engineered for the heaviest field use. This model is intended for anglers who wade frequently, deeply and without sparing their equipment – on gravel, rocks, through dense vegetation and during repeated kneeling. Chuluut combines maximum mechanical durability, a straightforward, robust construction and functionality fully focused on real river work.

The waders are built from breathable fabric developed within the RIVULUS® SHIELD profile, where resistance to abrasion, ground contact and point impacts takes priority. A 5-layer laminate is used from the waist down, while the upper section features a 3-layer laminate to maintain breathability and comfort during long days on the water. The nylon face fabric is stiffer and significantly more resistant to abrasion – selected for heavy-duty use rather than soft, “catalogue comfort”.

The construction is based on SeamSavvy®, Taimen’s proprietary seam engineering. The legs feature a single front seam, which greatly simplifies the seam layout and reduces the number of potential weak points in the most highly stressed areas. On the inside of the knees, internal pockets for foam knee and shin protectors allow the level of protection to be adapted to the terrain.

Chuluut is equipped with a roll-down upper system, allowing the top of the waders to be lowered to the waist on warmer days. The front pockets are positioned high, specifically for deep wading. A D-ring at the waist allows attachment of a wading staff, while a large rear D-ring on the suspenders is provided for a landing net. The model also features integrated gravel guards, a chest-mounted Velcro patch for a fly patch, and an internal roll-top pocket. The waders carry the bluesign® PRODUCT designation, confirming the use of verified, safer materials and a more responsible manufacturing process across the supply chain.
